Hairstyle for a man with extremely thick, curly hair?

My boyfriend has been struggling for years about what to do with his hair. It's extremely thick and curly, but so thick that the curls never show up, he just looks...fuzzy. His usual solution is to just buzz it all to 1/2 an inch, but then he looks about 14 (if he shaves off his beard too, instead of the 21 that he is.





Any one have any style suggestions? Mind you, it has to be fairly conservative because of his chosen field of study (Ministry), but I hate to see how upset he gets about not being able to do anything with it.Hairstyle for a man with extremely thick, curly hair?

just ask your hair dresser to give you a hair style that is texturized. the hair dresser has certain scissors or a certain blade (just depending on what is most comfortable for them to use, essentially they are the same thing) and they should use it at the end of your hair cut to make the wispy look

Try an Ivy league, if you want to go shorter then a crew cut, shorter still a High and Tight. Alternatively a buzz cut, which you can have on any clipper guard length from #6 to 0

Get it braided :-) or go to a professional and let them remove some of the bulk by cutting it (thinning out the hair) so that you can rock more styles without the hassle. Or use lots of gel applied in sections and work with it.
